About this treatment

The Clifford Clinic's Full Body Cancer Screening MRI is a comprehensive, radiation-free imaging programme designed to detect early signs of cancer throughout the entire body. Unlike CT scans and X-rays, this MRI-based assessment uses powerful magnetic fields rather than ionising radiation, making it a safer choice for routine preventive screening.

The scan captures detailed cross-sectional images across all major body regions: the head (including brain and surrounding structures), the cervical and lumbar spine, the thorax and chest, and the abdomen and pelvis, which encompasses critical organs such as the liver, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, and reproductive organs. The heart and major vessels can also be evaluated during the session.

This level of coverage enables clinicians to identify suspicious lesions, masses, or structural abnormalities at a stage when intervention is most likely to be successful. Early-stage cancers — particularly those of the pancreas, liver, and kidneys — are notoriously difficult to detect through blood tests or physical examination alone; whole-body MRI bridges this diagnostic gap.
