Skin Lesion Removal — Multipulse CO2 Laser

The Multipulse system at CLED uses pulsed CO2 delivery, which further limits thermal build-up compared to continuous-wave CO2 lasers. Each pulse removes a defined, reproducible layer of tissue, and the operator can assess the wound base after each pass and stop at exactly the correct depth — an advantage over surgical excision for superficial lesions, where the goal is to remove the lesion without entering the dermis.

Common lesions treated include skin tags (acrochordons), seborrheic keratoses, epidermal fibromas, warts (verrucae), milial cysts and small dermal naevi. Before any removal MUDr. Moskalyková examines the lesion — dermoscopically if indicated — to confirm benign nature. Pigmented lesions with any atypical features are referred for excision and histopathological analysis rather than laser ablation, which would destroy the tissue and prevent diagnosis.
