Hyaluronic acid skinbooster injections at CLED deliver a hydrating HA preparation with built-in lidocaine directly into the mid-dermis, creating a deep moisture reservoir that plumps and revitalises from within — an effect that topical serums cannot replicate. A single session takes up to 20 minutes and the deep hydration lasts 9–12 months. Treatment areas include face, hands, neck and décolletage. The gradual onset over three weeks means no immediate swelling visible to others, making it suitable for patients with no downtime.
Hyaluronic acid skinboosters are a distinct category from volumising HA fillers: they use lower-molecular-weight, less cross-linked HA formulations designed to hydrate rather than fill. HA is an inherently hygroscopic molecule — one gram of HA can bind up to one litre of water. When injected into the dermis, HA creates a hydration reservoir that draws and holds water within the tissue, increasing turgor, firmness and surface luminosity. This intradermal moisture environment also supports fibroblast activity and native HA production, providing ongoing skin quality benefits beyond the initial hydration effect. At CLED the skinbooster preparation used by MUDr. Moskalyková contains lidocaine as a built-in anaesthetic component — a formulation detail that makes the injection more comfortable than preparations without lidocaine and eliminates the need for separate topical numbing cream in most patients. The product is injected intradermally across the treatment zone — face, hands, neck or décolletage — using a fine needle in a series of micro-depot injections spaced evenly across the zone. The treatment session itself is brief, typically under 20 minutes for a full-face application. Minor redness at injection points and occasional small papules from the HA depots are normal immediately after the session; these resolve within hours. The hydration effect builds gradually over three weeks as the HA integrates into the dermal matrix and its water-binding capacity develops. At full effect (around three weeks post-treatment) the skin appears measurably more hydrated, smoother and luminous. The effect lasts 9–12 months before the HA is gradually metabolised. Skinboosters are particularly beneficial for patients with dry, dehydrated or sun-damaged skin, mature skin that has lost its natural moisture retention capacity, or skin in environmentally challenging climates (dry winters, high UV exposure). The treatment is also used to complement laser or resurfacing procedures — a skinbooster session several weeks before laser treatment is a well-established approach to optimising the skin's hydration status before the thermal challenge of CO2 or Er:YAG treatment. Treatment can be repeated every four weeks as desired. There is no accumulation risk: the injected HA is metabolised in the same way as native HA, and repeated sessions continue to deliver the hydration and collagen-supportive benefits. Contraindications include active skin infection, autoimmune conditions, and pregnancy.
