Removal of a tooth that is too badly decayed, broken or infected to save, or that needs to come out as part of a wider treatment plan. At CIISE extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic by a team experienced in oral surgery, with single- and multi-rooted teeth priced separately and more complex surgical and wisdom-tooth removals also offered. In-house 3D imaging supports planning where a tooth lies close to nerves or sinuses.

A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket, recommended when a tooth cannot be restored — because of extensive decay, fracture, advanced gum disease or infection — or when removal is needed to make way for other treatment such as implants or dentures. At CIISE straightforward extractions are performed under local anaesthetic; the price distinguishes single-rooted teeth from multi-rooted teeth, which are more involved to remove. The clinic's surgical experience extends to more complex cases, including wisdom-tooth removal and surgical extractions where a tooth is impacted or needs to be sectioned or have bone removed to release it; these are quoted according to difficulty, and supportive steps such as cleaning out an inflamed socket, placing a surgical dressing or suturing the gum are listed separately. Because the practice has its own 3D CBCT cone-beam imaging, the position of difficult roots, impacted wisdom teeth and nearby structures such as nerves and the sinus can be assessed beforehand to plan the safest approach. After an extraction the dentist gives clear aftercare advice to support healing and reduce the risk of complications, and can discuss replacing the tooth — for example with an implant or bridge — where appropriate. The dentist confirms the diagnosis and whether the tooth can realistically be saved before recommending removal.
