Type

PRP/PRF Therapy

Duration

1 hour

Platelet-rich plasma uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate its platelets and growth factors, which is then injected to support skin repair and rejuvenation. Because it is autologous — derived entirely from you — it is well tolerated and a natural option for improving skin quality. The clinic also offers platelet-rich fibrin and PRP combined with Dermapen 4.0 microneedling for a stronger effect.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a regenerative skin treatment that uses your own blood's healing components. A small sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets, which are rich in growth factors associated with tissue repair and collagen production. This concentrated plasma is then injected into the skin, or applied together with microneedling, with the aim of improving tone, texture and firmness. At Cieślikowska Clinic the process — blood draw, preparation and treatment — takes around forty-five to sixty minutes, with numbing cream applied for comfort. Because the material is entirely your own, there is no risk of allergy to a foreign substance, which makes PRP a popular choice for patients who prefer a natural approach. Expect mild redness or small bruises for a day or two. Results build gradually as collagen remodels over several weeks, so a course of around three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is usually recommended, with maintenance once or twice a year. The clinic also offers platelet-rich fibrin (a slower-release preparation) and combination treatments pairing PRP with Dermapen 4.0 microneedling across the face, neck and décolleté for a more intensive result. PRP is well suited to dull or tired skin and supporting overall skin quality. Suitability is assessed at consultation; it is not performed in pregnancy or in certain blood or clotting conditions.
