Cienega Medical performs laser hair removal using the Alma Soprano Ice, a diode laser platform from the Israeli medical device company Alma Lasers, which is considered one of the most comfortable and broadly safe laser hair removal technologies on the market. The Soprano Ice uses an in-motion SHR (Super Hair Removal) delivery method: rather than emitting high-peak-energy pulses that cause the sharp 'snap' sensation associated with older pulsed diode and Nd:YAG devices, the Soprano Ice delivers multiple low-fluence pulses in rapid succession as the handpiece glides continuously across the treatment area. This gradually accumulates thermal energy in the hair follicle's stem cells and germinal matrix — heating them to the threshold required for follicular damage — while the built-in contact cooling of the Sapphire handpiece keeps the epidermal surface comfortable. The combined result is a virtually painless treatment that patients often describe as a warm massage rather than the sharp snapping of conventional lasers. The 810 nm diode wavelength targets melanin in the hair follicle and is most effective on dark hair; the Soprano Ice platform also incorporates 755 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths (in the Titan variant) for broader chromophore coverage and improved safety on darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI).
