The VI Peel's proprietary formulation combines five active ingredients: trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as the primary resurfacing acid, which penetrates the epidermis and papillary dermis to denature proteins and trigger controlled exfoliation; phenol for additional penetration depth and smoothing of fine lines; salicylic acid for lipid solubility and follicular penetration, particularly beneficial for acne-prone skin; retinoic acid (vitamin A) to accelerate cell turnover and enhance collagen production; and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for antioxidant support and brightening. Four formulations are available, each optimised for a specific indication: the VI Peel Original is the classic formulation addressing fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone, and texture for general photoaging; VI Peel Purify adds a higher concentration of salicylic acid plus benzoyl peroxide and kojic acid, designed specifically for active acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from breakouts, and congested oily skin; VI Peel Precision Plus is the depigmentation-targeted formula with a double-booster of TCA and bleaching agents targeting stubborn melasma, hyperpigmentation, and solar lentigines; and VI Peel Advanced is the strongest formulation, incorporating additional TCA and GABA for the most pronounced anti-ageing and resurfacing results, suited to patients with significant photoaging, deep wrinkles, and actinic damage.
