3 deliverables in this treatment
- Cone-beam 3D scan on in-house equipment
- Reconstructed 3D images for planning
- Review of findings with the dentist
A cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan that produces a three-dimensional image of the teeth, jawbone and surrounding structures. It gives the dentist far more detail than a flat X-ray for planning implants, assessing bone volume, locating nerves and reviewing impacted teeth or root canals. The scan is quick and is taken on the clinic's own equipment, so planning and treatment can be coordinated in one place.
About this treatment
Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a low-dose 3D imaging technique widely used in modern dentistry. Unlike a conventional panoramic X-ray, which flattens the jaws into a single two-dimensional picture, a cone-beam scan reconstructs the teeth, bone and anatomy in three dimensions, letting the dentist measure bone height and width, identify the position of nerves and sinuses, and review impacted teeth, cysts or complex root-canal anatomy with precision.
At Centrum Stomatologiczne dr Jadczyk the scan is performed in-house, which means imaging, planning and treatment can be handled together rather than referring patients elsewhere. The process is fast and non-invasive: you stand or sit still for a short rotation of the scanner, typically lasting under a minute of actual exposure, and there is no recovery time. The resulting data is essential for accurate implant placement, where it is used to plan the…
