A 120-minute sports performance testing session at CPM Pavla Koláře that analyses your sport-specific training load, calibrates your heart rate training zones from measured physiological data, and assesses body composition to provide an evidence-based training intensity structure. The assessment protects against overtraining while identifying the zones where each energy system is most efficiently developed — a foundation for any structured training plan.

About this treatment

Training at the wrong intensity is the most common driver of both overtraining syndrome and underperformance. The Training Intensity Setup assessment at CPM Pavla Koláře uses measured physiological data to define the individual's aerobic and threshold zones rather than relying on estimated formulae — a meaningful difference for athletes whose lactate or ventilatory threshold sits significantly above or below the population average.

The session covers four main components. First, a sport-type analysis establishes the energy system demands of the athlete's primary sport — the balance of aerobic base, lactate threshold work, and high-intensity anaerobic capacity needed, and how the training week should be structured across these zones. Second, a graduated exercise protocol (bicycle or treadmill, depending on sport) is used to identify the physiological breakpoints — typically the first…

The output is a personalised training zone prescription — typically five zones anchored to the measured threshold heart rate — with guidance on how much weekly training volume to spend in each zone for the athlete's current goals and fitness level. This precision matters most for endurance athletes and those with competition targets, but the assessment is valuable for any athlete wanting to train systematically rather than by feel.
