Golf Without Pain (Golf bez bolesti) is CPM Pavla Koláře's dedicated programme for golfers, combining physiotherapy and physiofitness training to address the movement patterns that cause golf-related back, hip, and shoulder problems. Over six sessions — three with a physiotherapist and three with a physiofitness specialist — the programme assesses movement restrictions, applies targeted treatment, and then translates the therapeutic gains into sport-specific movement patterns that improve both swing quality and injury resilience.
About this treatment
Golf demands a high degree of thoracic spine rotation, hip mobility, and core stabilisation — and the rotational loading of a golf swing places significant demand on the lumbar spine, sacroiliac joints, lead hip, and trail shoulder. The Golf Without Pain programme at CPM Pavla Koláře was designed specifically to address the recurring injuries and performance limitations that arise from restricted mobility and inadequate stabilisation in these areas.
The programme begins with an initial movement assessment focused on the structures most relevant to the golf swing: thoracic spine rotation range and quality, pelvic mobility and control, hip internal and external rotation, shoulder complex stability, and deep core activation under rotational load. This assessment guides the first physiotherapy session, which uses DNS-based treatment to address the most significant restrictions — typically a combination…
The subsequent two physiotherapy sessions build on the initial treatment, working progressively through thoracic-to-pelvis rotation mechanics, shoulder mobility and stability in the positions relevant to address and follow-through, and correction of the muscle imbalances that commonly accumulate in golfers who play frequently without counterbalancing strength work.
