About this treatment

A single hyperbaric oxygen therapy session in the OxyLife seated chamber at Centrum Barokomor. The seated chamber operates at 30 kPa gauge pressure above ambient — approximately 1.3 atmospheres absolute (1.3 ATA), a slightly milder pressure profile than the lying capsule chamber. The seated configuration makes the chamber wheelchair-accessible.

The session structure mirrors the capsule SKU: 90 minutes end-to-end with 10 minutes compression, 60 minutes at target therapeutic pressure breathing 100% pure oxygen, and 5 minutes decompression. You sit comfortably inside the chamber for the duration of the session.

The seated chamber is the appropriate choice for users who cannot use a lying capsule — wheelchair users, users with mobility limitations, or anyone uncomfortable with the supine position. It is also a suitable starting point for users with mild claustrophobia who prefer an upright posture, though severe claustrophobia remains a contraindication.

Who is this for?

Wheelchair users, users with mobility limitations, or anyone uncomfortable in a supine position. First-time HBOT users testing a milder pressure profile (1.3 ATA) before committing to the 1.5 ATA capsule. Users seeking a lower-cost entry point to HBOT. Mild HBOT framing — not equivalent to hospital-based ≥2.0 ATA clinical HBOT.

Preparation required

Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before; avoid heavy meals and alcohol close to your session. Wear comfortable clothing without metal fastenings or strong fragrances. Inform staff of any cold, flu, or sinus congestion — ear-equalisation can be uncomfortable when congested. Bring a water bottle. Avoid sessions during pregnancy, with untreated pneumothorax, acute upper-respiratory infection, severe pulmonary disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe claustrophobia, or epilepsy. Discuss any medical conditions with clinic staff before booking. Wheelchair users — confirm access requirements when booking.
