Profhilo is a high-concentration, stabilised hyaluronic acid bioremodelling injectable that diffuses through the dermis to improve skin laxity, hydration, and elasticity. Profhilo is a distinctive class of injectable product that differs fundamentally from conventional dermal fillers. Rather than filling a specific area with cross-linked gel for volumisation, Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available in an injectable form — 64mg per 2ml — in a hybrid complex of high- and low-molecular-weight HA chains. This composition is designed not to remain localised at the injection point but to flow and diffuse through the dermal tissue, spreading approximately two to three centimetres from each injection site. This diffusion property allows Profhilo to stimulate fibroblasts — the skin's collagen and elastin-producing cells — across a broad area of tissue with just a small number of injection points. The standard treatment protocol uses the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique, placing injections at five anatomically defined points on each side of the face: the cheek, the malar region, the nasolabial fold, the chin, and the pre-auricular area. The total of ten injection points per session delivers the full 2ml syringe. Over the four to six weeks following each injection session, the HA stimulates collagen type I, III, and IV as well as elastin production in the dermis. The clinical outcome is improved skin texture, increased firmness, and enhanced hydration — not a volumised or filled appearance, but a biologically remodelled skin quality.
