CT (computed tomography) scanning at Capio Privathospital provides rapid cross-sectional imaging that excels at visualising bony structures, detecting lung pathology, and characterising certain soft-tissue abnormalities. The standard CT covers a wide range of anatomical regions at a single base price: brain, skull, face, chest, clavicle, sternum, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine, neck, coccyx, bones and joints, and pelvis. CT produces images faster than MRI and offers superior resolution for cortical bone, calcifications, and acute haemorrhage, making it the preferred modality for certain clinical indications. Scan duration is typically under 15 minutes for a single region — significantly shorter than an equivalent MRI examination. The trade-off is ionising radiation exposure, which means CT is generally reserved for clinical indications rather than routine preventive screening. Abdominal and organ-specific CT scans (liver, pancreas, kidneys, CT urography) are available at higher price tiers. Intravenous contrast medium can be added at DKK 950 when enhanced tissue and vascular visualisation is clinically required. All scans are reported by experienced radiologists and results can be shared with referring physicians. The base price of DKK 3,810 is subject to the standard 5% patient insurance surcharge. CT scanning is available at the Hellerup campus alongside Capio's MRI, DEXA, and ultrasound services, enabling multi-modality imaging in a single visit when clinically indicated.
