Contrast-enhanced bilateral breast MRI at 117,000 HUF for cancer screening in high-risk women, lesion characterisation, and extent-of-disease mapping.
The contrast-enhanced breast MRI at Buda Health Center uses dedicated breast coils for bilateral imaging with dynamic gadolinium sequences. At 117,000 HUF (approximately EUR 295), the examination combines high-resolution anatomical T2-weighted images with dynamic contrast-enhanced series for cancer detection and lesion characterisation. Breast MRI is the most sensitive imaging modality for breast cancer detection and is recommended as supplementary screening for women with BRCA1/2 mutations, strong family history, prior chest wall radiation, or dense breast tissue that limits mammographic sensitivity. It is also used for pre-surgical extent-of-disease mapping and monitoring neoadjuvant chemotherapy response. Native breast MRI without contrast is available at 57,000 HUF for implant assessment. The contrast study is preferred for all cancer screening and diagnostic indications. Pre-screening for renal function is performed before contrast administration.
