CT Angiography — Single Vessel Region

Type

CT Angiography

Duration

30 min

Contrast-enhanced CT angiography of a single vascular territory — carotid, cerebral, abdominal, aorta (one region), extremity, or pulmonary vasculature. 87,000 HUF (≈€218) per region.

Buda Health Center's CT angiography service covers all major vascular territories at a published flat rate of 87,000 HUF (approximately €218) per region. Available territories include: abdominal vessels, aorta (single region), carotid arteries (neck vessels), cerebral blood vessels, extremity vessels, and thoracic vessels including dedicated pulmonary embolism protocol. CT angiography uses rapid intravenous contrast injection timed precisely to the arterial phase of circulation to produce detailed three-dimensional maps of the vessel lumen. The technique is well-established for detecting stenosis, aneurysm, dissection, arteriovenous malformations, and vessel occlusion. It is substantially faster, safer, and less expensive than catheter-based conventional angiography, which requires arterial puncture and carries its own procedural complication risk. For combined vascular territories, pricing is transparent and additive. Carotid plus cerebral CT angiography is 117,000 HUF (approximately €293), providing complete neurovascular assessment from neck to circle of Willis in one session. Full aortic assessment covering chest, abdomen, and pelvis is 127,000 HUF (approximately €318) — particularly relevant for suspected aortic dissection, aneurysm surveillance, or pre-operative planning before aortic surgery. Pulmonary embolism CT angiography (CTPA) follows a dedicated thoracic vessel protocol optimised for pulmonary arterial opacification. It is the primary diagnostic investigation for suspected pulmonary embolism, a time-sensitive condition where rapid diagnosis significantly affects management. The protocol allows direct visualisation of clot in the pulmonary arteries down to the segmental level. All CT angiography examinations at Buda Health Center are performed by board-certified radiologists using the multi-slice CT scanner at the Királyhágó utca facility. The pre-examination protocol includes contrast allergy assessment, renal function screening for patients with known kidney disease, and hydration guidance. English-speaking staff are available for international patients. Online booking and telephone appointments (+36 1 489-52-00) are both available. No physician referral is required for self-pay patients. Buda Health Center has operated its vascular imaging service for over two decades and the radiology team includes specialists experienced in interpreting complex vascular anatomy. CD copies of image data can be purchased for 1,500 HUF.
