Plasma therapy — also called PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facial rejuvenation — uses concentrated growth factors from the patient's own blood to stimulate the skin's repair and regeneration pathways. At BODY klinika, the technique combines platelet-rich plasma with hyaluronic acid to deliver a dual regenerative and hydrating effect. The procedure begins with a small venous blood draw. The blood is centrifuged to separate the platelet-rich plasma fraction from red blood cells and platelet-poor plasma. The PRP — containing three to five times the normal platelet concentration — is then enriched with hyaluronic acid before being injected into the target skin using fine needles or a microneedling approach. Platelets release growth factors including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, and EGF when activated; these proteins signal fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin and stimulate angiogenesis, improving tissue perfusion. Clinically, patients may expect progressive firming of the treated area, gradual reduction in fine lines, improvement in overall skin tone and brightness, and increased hydration from the combined HA component.
