Liposonix — Focused Ultrasound Fat Reduction

Each 90-minute session runs in three phases: a 30-minute radiofrequency warm-up to activate the circulatory system and prepare the tissue, the Liposonix ultrasound application targeting the fat layer below the dermis, and a 30-minute lymphatic drainage massage performed in compression garments to support the removal of disrupted fat cells from the treatment zone. The physics: HIFU concentrates ultrasound energy at a precise focal depth — calibrated to the fat layer below the dermis — and creates a localised temperature spike at the focal point that destroys adipocyte membranes through thermal coagulation necrosis. Surrounding tissues at shallower or deeper planes are unaffected because the energy is only convergent at the focal depth. The fractional delivery pattern (multiple small focal spots rather than continuous ablation) leaves intact tissue bridges between treated zones, allowing faster healing and reducing the risk of contour irregularity. Each 90-minute session at Body Factory is structured as three distinct phases. Phase 1 (30 minutes): radiofrequency is applied to the treatment area to warm the circulatory system, increase local blood flow, and prepare the adipose tissue for the HIFU intervention — the thermal preparation may also independently improve tissue receptivity to the ultrasound focal energy. Phase 2: Liposonix HIFU application.
