The fractional CO2 laser delivers energy into the skin in a fine grid of microscopic treatment zones, vaporising tiny columns of tissue while leaving the skin between them intact. This fractional pattern triggers a strong collagen-remodelling and resurfacing response to smooth texture, soften fine lines, fade scarring — including acne scars — and even out tone, while the untreated bridges of skin allow noticeably faster recovery than older fully ablative resurfacing.
