Vampir-Lifting — PRP Facial (Eigenbluttherapie)

Type

PRP/PRF Therapy

Duration

1 hour

A PRP facial — known as Vampir-Lifting or Eigenbluttherapie — that uses platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood. A small blood sample is centrifuged to concentrate the plasma, which is then worked into the face with microneedling. The growth factors in the platelets may support the skin's natural collagen and elastin production for a fresher, firmer complexion. BellaDerma performs the treatment at its Kurfürstendamm centre in Berlin-Charlottenburg. A course of three sessions over roughly three months is typically recommended, with one or two refresh sessions a year afterwards.

Vampir-Lifting at BellaDerma combines platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with microneedling to support natural skin regeneration across the full face. The clinic draws a small blood sample, usually between 10 and 60 millilitres, and separates it in a centrifuge so the red blood cells are removed and the platelet-rich plasma remains. This plasma is then either micro-injected or worked into the deeper layers of the skin using a dermapen or dermaroller during microneedling. The platelets are rich in growth factors that are associated with the body's production of collagen and elastin, and the controlled micro-injuries from needling may further encourage the skin's own renewal process. Because the plasma comes entirely from your own blood, no foreign substances are added during preparation. A typical session takes around 30 to 60 minutes — roughly half of which is spent preparing the plasma — and can be carried out under local anaesthetic on request. Results tend to develop over about four weeks and may last up to a year. BellaDerma suggests an initial course of three sessions within roughly three months, followed by one or two refresh sessions per year. Common areas treated include the face, neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands. Side effects are generally limited to mild redness, swelling or small bruises that settle quickly. The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and the clinic advises avoiding blood-thinning medication such as aspirin or ibuprofen for a few days beforehand. A consultation precedes every treatment so the team can confirm that PRP is appropriate. A radiofrequency-microneedling variant of the Vampir-Lifting is also offered for a stronger tightening effect.
