BEAUTY – plastická chirurgie offers medically performed body piercing using sterile surgical needles — no piercing guns — with local anaesthetic applied to the site. MUDr. Šorma's clinic provides a clinical setting for piercing in areas including navel, tongue, eyebrows, nose, and ears, significantly reducing infection risk compared with non-medical piercing studios. Patients must bring their own jewellery, disinfected in medical alcohol for 24 hours before the appointment in a sealed sterile container. Wound dressing is applied for approximately two days post-procedure.
Medical-setting piercing at BEAUTY – plastická chirurgie differs from studio piercing in several key respects. The procedure is performed in a sterile clinical environment using single-use surgical needles — piercing guns are never used, as they cannot be sterilised between uses and cause more tissue trauma through blunt force than a sharp needle tip. Local anaesthetic is applied to the piercing site before needle insertion, substantially reducing discomfort. The nursing team carries out the piercing under the oversight of MUDr. Šorma's clinic, which means any immediate complications can be addressed by a physician on site. Sites available include the navel, tongue, eyebrows, nose, ears (including cartilage piercings), and other body areas. Bilateral ear piercing — both lobes at the same visit — is billed at the single session rate rather than doubled, reflecting the minimal additional procedural complexity. The navel rate is slightly lower than other areas. Patients are required to bring their own jewellery to the appointment, having soaked it in medical-grade alcohol for a minimum of 24 hours beforehand and transported it in a sealed sterile container. The clinic does not supply jewellery. After the procedure, a sealed wound dressing is applied to the piercing site for approximately two days; once removed, patients apply an antibiotic or disinfectant ointment and keep the site clean during the healing period, which varies from a few weeks for ear lobes to several months for cartilage or navel piercings. The clinical setting eliminates the risk of unsterilised equipment — the primary driver of piercing-related infections and blood-borne pathogen transmission in non-medical studios. Patients with known metal allergies should ensure their jewellery is implant-grade titanium, surgical steel, or gold to reduce the risk of local allergic reaction.
