Liposuction at BEAUTY – plastická chirurgie targets genetically stubborn fat deposits that resist diet and exercise — most commonly the abdomen, sides, thighs, hips, and knees in women, and the abdomen and flanks in men. MUDr. Šorma uses tumescent technique combined with vibrational (power-assisted) liposuction, which introduces an anesthetic-saline solution before aspiration to minimise bleeding and improve fat removal precision. Small isolated areas can be treated under local anaesthesia as an outpatient; larger multi-area procedures require general anaesthesia and one-day hospitalisation. Results stabilise over six to twelve weeks as swelling resolves and skin contracts.
Liposuction is a fat-volume reduction procedure — it is not a weight-loss intervention and is not appropriate as a treatment for obesity. It is most effective for patients who are close to their healthy weight but carry localised fat deposits in areas where the body stores fat as a genetic default, which respond poorly to caloric restriction. When fat cells are aspirated, the remaining cells in the treated area are permanently reduced; provided the patient maintains a stable weight, the improvement is long-lasting. MUDr. Šorma uses tumescent liposuction throughout. Before aspiration begins, a tumescent solution — a saline mixture containing dilute lidocaine and epinephrine — is infiltrated into the treatment area. The epinephrine constricts local blood vessels, substantially reducing surgical blood loss; the lidocaine provides prolonged post-operative analgesia; and the volume of saline physically expands the fat compartment, making fat cell disruption more uniform. This preparation allows small-area procedures to be performed entirely under local anaesthesia without systemic sedation. For the aspiration itself, MUDr. Šorma uses a vibrational (power-assisted) cannula — a device in which the cannula tip oscillates rapidly, mechanically disrupting fat cells before suction. This reduces the manual force required, decreases surgeon fatigue on larger cases, and is associated with smoother contour outcomes and less post-operative bruising compared with purely manual techniques. Access incisions are approximately 5 mm, typically placed in inconspicuous locations. Small area procedures (for example, isolated inner knee or small flank deposit) are performed on an outpatient basis under local tumescent anaesthesia only. Larger procedures involving multiple zones — such as full abdominal and flank treatment — require general anaesthesia with one-day hospitalisation at the clinic or, for procedures requiring a greater degree of general anaesthetic management, at partner clinic Mediestetik Prague. Compression garments are mandatory post-operatively and must be worn continuously for the first two weeks, then during the day for several additional weeks; they are essential for achieving smooth skin retraction and reducing post-operative swelling. The treated area feels firm and swollen for six to twelve weeks; the final contour result is assessed at the three-month mark. Liposuction at this clinic is not combined with non-surgical fat-dissolving injections; MUDr. Šorma considers surgical aspiration the most predictable method for meaningful volume reduction.
