A session typically takes around thirty to forty-five minutes, after which the skin is usually pink and may feel tight for a day or two before settling, with diligent moisturising and sun protection important during recovery. Because remodelling is gradual, scars and stretch marks generally need a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart, and results depend on the nature of the marks being treated; realistic expectations are discussed at the qualifying consultation.
