About this treatment
Hyaluronic acid lip enhancement uses a soft, cross-linked gel to refine the lips' shape, border and volume while keeping the result balanced and natural. The studio's 'natural lips' philosophy is to enhance rather than transform: treatment begins with a discussion of your goals — better definition, a little extra fullness, or correction of minor asymmetry — and a conservative volume is usually recommended, particularly for first-time clients.
Numbing is applied for comfort and most lip products also contain lidocaine, so the procedure is generally well tolerated. The gel is placed with a fine needle or cannula and shaped by hand, with results visible immediately. Lips commonly swell for a day or two and small bruises can occur before the final shape settles over one to two weeks.
