Microneedling (DermaPen)

DermaPen microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and acne scarring. A serum is driven into the skin during treatment for added effect. The clinic offers it on the face and the face-neck-décolletage area, as well as a lighter microneedle-mesotherapy version. A short course gives the best results for scarring and texture.

Microneedling with the DermaPen device uses a cluster of fine needles oscillating at high speed to create many precise micro-channels in the skin. These tiny, controlled micro-injuries trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, which is associated with fresh collagen and elastin production that firms the skin and refines its surface over the following weeks. The micro-channels also allow active serums applied during treatment to penetrate more effectively.
