Native MRI of a single hip joint and pelvis evaluating the acetabular labrum, articular cartilage, femoral head, and surrounding soft tissues. No referral required.
The hip MRI at Bader-MR evaluates the hip joint and surrounding structures including the acetabular labrum, articular cartilage of the femoral head and acetabulum, the joint capsule, iliopsoas and gluteal tendons, and bursae. The pelvis is included in the field of view to assess sacroiliac joints and pelvic musculature. This examination is commonly ordered for hip pain that has not responded to conservative treatment, suspected labral tears in younger patients (femoroacetabular impingement), avascular necrosis of the femoral head, and pre-operative planning for hip arthroscopy or replacement. MRI provides superior soft-tissue contrast compared to X-ray and CT, making it the preferred modality for non-bony hip pathology. Priced at EUR 290 as a single-joint scan. The pelvis can also be examined as a standalone scan at the same price for patients with pelvic rather than hip-specific symptoms.
