Immune Boost Infusion

The Immune Boost infusion at Ayvie Health is formulated specifically to support the immune system, combining three key components with well-established immunological roles. L-lysine at 2g is an essential amino acid with antiviral properties — it competes with arginine for absorption at the cellular level, which can inhibit herpes simplex virus replication. Despite this competitive relationship, the formulation includes both lysine and arginine because arginine supports nitric oxide production (important for immune cell function and circulation) while the lysine dose is high enough to maintain its antiviral effect. High-dose vitamin C at 7.5g provides potent antioxidant and immune support. At this concentration (achievable only via IV), vitamin C enhances the function of neutrophils and lymphocytes, supports the epithelial barrier against pathogens, and acts as a cofactor in the enzymatic production of antimicrobial peptides. IV delivery achieves plasma levels 10 to 30 times higher than the maximum achievable through oral supplementation. The infusion takes approximately 45 minutes and is particularly popular during cold and flu season, for pre-travel immune preparation, and during or after periods of illness when the immune system needs additional support. It is also used by clients with recurrent viral infections (including herpes simplex) as part of a prevention strategy.
