What's included
4 deliverables in this treatment
- Full blood count: RBC, haemoglobin, haematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, platelets
- 5-part white cell differential: neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils (absolute counts + %)
- Same-day results processed by NASKL-accredited haematology laboratory
- Option to add reticulocyte count for bone marrow production assessment (122 Kč total)
A full blood count with five-part white cell differential at AXIS-CZ's NASKL-accredited laboratory in Hradec Králové. The CBC measures red cell count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, and MCV/MCH/MCHC indices; the differential classifies white cells into neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils as both absolute counts and percentages. Together these measurements provide the foundational haematology screen used to investigate anaemia, infection, inflammatory states, and haematological disorders. Walk-in collection is available from 05:30 Monday to Friday; no appointment is needed. The basic CBC (krevní obraz) is 37 Kč; adding the differential costs 84 Kč total. A reticulocyte count to assess bone marrow red cell production can be added for 122 Kč. Results are typically available on the same day. The blood draw fee of 59 Kč for adults is charged in addition to the panel price.
About this treatment
The full blood count with differential (CBC + Diff) at Laboratoř AXIS-CZ is the most fundamental haematological screening test and the standard first-line investigation for a broad range of clinical presentations. The panel is processed by the laboratory's haematology analysers the same day as collection and encompasses two complementary tiers of measurement.
The CBC component measures red blood cell (erythrocyte) count, haemoglobin concentration, haematocrit (packed cell volume), and the three red cell indices: mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), and mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC). These indices are the critical diagnostic discriminators for anaemia: microcytic anaemia (low MCV) points toward iron deficiency or thalassaemia; normocytic anaemia suggests chronic…
The 5-part white cell differential adds quantification of each white cell type: neutrophils (the primary defenders against bacterial infection, elevated in bacterial infections and inflammatory states), lymphocytes (the adaptive immune cells, elevated in viral infections and lymphoid malignancies), monocytes (tissue macrophage precursors, elevated in chronic infection and inflammatory conditions), eosinophils (elevated in allergic conditions and parasitic…

Biomarkers tested
9The percentage of your blood volume occupied by red blood cells. It reflects the balance between red blood cell production and loss, helping diagnose anemia, dehydration, and polycythemia.
The iron-rich protein in red blood cells responsible for carrying oxygen throughout your body and returning carbon dioxide to the lungs. Low haemoglobin is the primary marker for anemia and can cause fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath.
The average size of your red blood cells. Small cells (microcytic) suggest iron deficiency, while large cells (macrocytic) may indicate vitamin B12 or folate deficiency. Normal-sized cells with low count suggest chronic disease.
The percentage of white blood cells that are monocytes. Monocytes are part of the innate immune system and develop into macrophages and dendritic cells in tissues.
Imbalances in gut pH influence short-chain fatty acid production and their effects.
Measures the number of platelets, small cell fragments essential for blood clotting. Low platelets increase bleeding risk, while high platelets may increase clot risk. Important for monitoring clotting disorders and medication effects.
Measures the number of red blood cells in your blood. Red blood cells carry oxygen from your lungs to every cell in your body. Abnormal levels can indicate anemia, dehydration, or bone marrow disorders.
Measures the total number of white blood cells, your body's primary defense against infection. Elevated levels may indicate infection, inflammation, or immune disorders, while low levels can signal bone marrow problems or autoimmune conditions.

AXIS-CZ is directed by Ing. Mgr. Simona Karmazínová, who also serves as the contact for corporate and employee health benefit packages. The laboratory operates under NASKL accreditation (2024) and R3 Audit certification, both of which require documented quality management systems, proficiency testing participation, and regular internal and external audits of laboratory procedures and result accuracy.
