Type
Full Body Checkup
Duration
1 hour
A focused assessment of heart and circulatory system health combining stress ECG (bicycle ergometry), cardiac and carotid ultrasound, lung function testing, and a targeted blood panel with 14 cardiovascular-relevant parameters. Designed to identify early signs of coronary artery disease, vascular narrowing, and exercise-induced rhythm disturbances.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in Germany, and Munich's ageing but active population includes many individuals who would benefit from screening that goes beyond the standard resting ECG and cholesterol check offered through insurance-covered GP visits. This programme, available at the Bogenhausen and Solln locations, combines functional cardiac testing with vascular imaging and targeted blood work. The stress ECG uses bicycle ergometry -- you will pedal a stationary bike under progressively increasing resistance while heart rhythm, blood pressure, and exercise capacity are continuously monitored. This functional test reveals exercise-induced ischaemia, arrhythmias, and abnormal blood pressure responses that a resting ECG cannot detect. Bring sportswear and trainers. Cardiac ultrasound evaluates chamber size, wall motion, valve function, and ejection fraction in real time. Carotid artery ultrasound measures intima-media thickness and screens for plaque buildup -- an early indicator of systemic atherosclerosis that correlates strongly with coronary event risk. Spirometry is included to distinguish cardiac from pulmonary contributions to exercise intolerance. The blood panel targets 14 parameters with direct cardiovascular relevance: lipid fractions (LDL, HDL, triglycerides), inflammatory markers, glucose metabolism indicators, and organ function values. Combined with a thorough medical history and physical examination, these inputs feed into a structured cardiovascular risk stratification. The results discussion delivers your risk profile alongside specific recommendations for exercise, nutrition, and follow-up testing intervals.
