CT Scan
Duration

A 3D cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan produces a detailed three-dimensional image of the teeth, jawbone and surrounding structures, used to plan implants, assess impacted teeth and investigate complex cases. AURUM has the scanner on site, so imaging and treatment planning happen in one place. The 350 zł scan gives the surgical team an accurate view of bone, nerves and sinuses; a lower-cost 2D panoramic X-ray is also available.
Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a form of three-dimensional dental imaging that captures the teeth, jaws, sinuses and nerve channels in fine detail using a low-dose, focused X-ray beam. Unlike a flat 2D X-ray, a 3D scan lets the clinician see structures in their true spatial relationship, which is particularly valuable for planning the exact position of a dental implant, assessing impacted or buried teeth, examining roots before endodontic surgery and evaluating bone volume and quality. At Centrum Medyczne AURUM the cone-beam scanner is located on site, so a scan can be taken and reviewed as part of the same visit when planning surgery or implants, avoiding a separate trip to an imaging centre. The scan itself is quick and non-invasive — the patient stays still while the scanner rotates around the head — and produces data the surgeon uses to treat more predictably and safely. The clinic offers the 3D CBCT scan at 350 zł and a 2D panoramic X-ray at 150 zł, and can provide imaging on referral as well as for its own patients. Diagnostic imaging is associated with more accurate planning and is a routine, supporting step rather than a treatment in itself; the team will advise which type of image is appropriate for a given clinical question.
