About this treatment
Botulotoxin wrinkle treatment at Asklepion – Estetické centrum Komfort applies minute quantities of medical-grade botulinum toxin type A via ultra-fine needles into the target muscle groups of the upper and mid-face. The mechanism is well-established: acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction is temporarily blocked, causing the muscle to relax while leaving surrounding musculature unaffected. Areas treated: The most frequently requested areas include the glabellar complex (vertical frown lines between the eyebrows), horizontal forehead lines and lateral canthal lines (crow's feet). With more advanced injection mapping, the toxin may also be used for a brow-lift effect, chin dimpling, platysmal bands on the neck, and as an adjunct to excessive-sweating treatment of the forehead.
Treatment session: After a consultation to assess muscle anatomy and depth, the physician cleanes the skin. The injections themselves take approximately 10–15 minutes.
