Injection Lipolysis (Fat-Dissolving Injections)

Injection lipolysis occupies the niche between diet and liposuction: small, well-defined fat deposits that resist lifestyle change but do not justify surgery. The active compound, phosphatidylcholine (derived from lecithin), is injected in a grid pattern directly into the subcutaneous fat, where it disrupts fat-cell membranes; the released fat is then processed and cleared gradually by the body's metabolic and lymphatic pathways.

Because the dissolving and clearance process is gradual, treatment is delivered as a series: sessions are spaced 14–21 days apart, and the number required depends on the volume of the deposit — commonly two to four for small areas.
