4 deliverables in this treatment

  • Lip assessment and volume planning
  • Topical or local block anaesthesia
  • Hyaluronic acid injection to vermilion border, body, and philtrum columns
  • Post-treatment aftercare instructions

Lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid adds volume, definition, and shape to the lips using a dissolvable filler injected precisely at the lip border (vermilion), body, and philtrum columns. At Art Ethic the procedure is performed under topical or local block anaesthesia and takes approximately 30 minutes. Results are visible immediately; the filler integrates over 24–48 hours for the final settled appearance. Hyaluronic acid lip filler lasts six to twelve months and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase at any point if the patient wants the effect reversed or adjusted.

About this treatment

Lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid (HA) filler is one of the most popular non-surgical aesthetic treatments — the results are immediate, adjustable, temporary, and reversible. At Art Ethic Beauty Clinic, the procedure is performed under medical supervision, with the practitioner assessing lip anatomy, natural proportions, and facial balance before planning the injection zones and volumes.

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that occurs naturally in the body's connective tissue and draws water molecules to itself, creating volume and plumping the injected area. Modern lip filler formulations use crosslinked HA to increase longevity and create a soft, natural feel that moves with the lips rather than remaining stiff.

The treatment begins with anaesthesia — typically a topical numbing cream applied for 20–30 minutes, or a dental nerve block for patients with lower pain tolerance — which makes the injections comfortable. The filler is then placed using fine needles or blunt cannulas at three key structural zones: the vermilion border (lip outline, to define and sharpen the cupid's bow and lip border), the body of the lip (to add volume and eversion), and the philtrum…
