Brow lift surgery raises descended eyebrows and smooths forehead wrinkles to restore a more rested, alert facial expression. Art Ethic offers five techniques ranging from minimally invasive thread lifting to the classic open brow lift — the most powerful and lasting option. The choice is made at consultation based on the degree of brow descent, skin quality, and the patient's tolerance for recovery. Under local or general anaesthesia, the procedure takes one to two hours and results in one to three weeks of visible recovery before returning to normal activities.
Brow ptosis — the descent of the eyebrows from their anatomically optimal position at the superior orbital rim — is a common component of facial ageing that can give the impression of tiredness, sadness, or displeasure even when the patient feels well. Correction by brow lift surgery repositions the eyebrow to a more youthful height and simultaneously addresses forehead wrinkles and frown lines by releasing and repositioning the muscles responsible for their formation. At Art Ethic Beauty Clinic, doc. MUDr. Martin Molitor, Ph.D., MBA offers five brow lift techniques, selected at consultation based on individual anatomy and the degree of lift required: 1. Thread brow lift by injection — the least invasive option; polydioxanone (PDO) or similar threads are placed through small needle punctures in the scalp and used to mechanically elevate the brow with no incision. Suitable for mild ptosis; temporary results (12–18 months). 2. Thread brow lift via small scalp incisions — threads placed through 2–3 mm stab incisions in the hairline for improved anchoring and longevity. Suitable for mild-to-moderate cases. 3. Combined brow and eyelid approach — brow lifting performed in conjunction with upper blepharoplasty through shared incisions, achieving a combined rejuvenation of the upper face. 4. Endoscopic brow lift — three to five small incisions in the hairline through which an endoscope and instruments are introduced; the forehead tissues are lifted and secured with internal fixation. Moderate-to-significant ptosis; hairline preserved. 5. Classic open brow lift — a continuous incision across the scalp within the hairline with direct tissue elevation and skin excision. The most powerful and durable technique; appropriate for significant brow descent or forehead skin excess. All options are performed under local or general anaesthesia in one to two hours. Recovery involves approximately one week at home; full activity resumes at three to four weeks. Temporary numbness above the incision line is common and resolves over weeks to months.
