Augmentation mastopexy combines a breast lift with implant placement in one operation, addressing both sagging and volume loss simultaneously. At Art Ethic, the surgeon offers four scar patterns — periareolar, vertical, inverted-T, and a rare technique for selected cases — chosen according to the degree of ptosis and desired volume change. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia in approximately two hours. It is suited to patients who have lost breast fullness and shape through nursing, weight change, or natural ageing, and who want both lifted positioning and enhanced cup size from a single surgery.
Augmentation mastopexy is a technically demanding combined procedure that lifts the breast to a higher position on the chest wall and simultaneously increases volume with a silicone implant. The two goals are surgically interdependent: a lift alone does not add volume, and an implant alone does not correct significant drooping. Performing both in one session avoids the recovery and cost of two separate operations. At Art Ethic Beauty Clinic, the procedure is led by doc. MUDr. Martin Molitor, Ph.D., MBA, whose 25 years of operative experience includes the full range of mastopexy techniques. During consultation, the degree of ptosis is assessed and the appropriate scar pattern selected from four options: periareolar (scar around the areola only — for mild ptosis), vertical (lollipop scar — for moderate ptosis), inverted-T (anchor scar — for marked drooping), and a less common alternative for specific anatomical presentations. Surgery takes approximately two hours under general anaesthesia with a one-night hospital stay at the MY CLINIC Dejvice surgical facility. The lift component reshapes the glandular tissue and repositions the areola and nipple complex to a higher, more projecting position. The implant is then placed in the pocket created beneath or above the pectoral muscle. The approach balances scar minimisation against lift effectiveness — a common tension the surgeon discusses honestly at consultation. Post-operative recovery mirrors that of standalone breast augmentation: intensive restriction for two to four weeks, light activity permitted from four weeks, full activity from two months. A compression garment is required throughout the initial recovery period. The final result stabilises over six months as swelling resolves and implant position settles. Contraindications include active systemic illness, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and unstable weight. Patients with very significant ptosis requiring large implants to compensate may be counselled that a staged approach — mastopexy first, then augmentation — offers a lower complication risk, which the surgeon discusses openly.
