Type
PRP/PRF Therapy
Duration
1 hour
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) treatments using the patient's own blood to deliver a concentrated dose of growth factors directly into the skin or scalp. At Arsderma a small blood sample is drawn, centrifuged to isolate the platelet concentrate, and then reinjected or applied via microneedling channels. PRP is used for facial skin rejuvenation — improving tone, texture, elasticity and fine lines — and for hair-loss treatment to stimulate dormant follicles. From 5,000 Kč per session.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) harness the body's own healing biology. Platelets circulating in blood are the first responders to tissue injury: they release a cascade of growth factors — including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF and EGF — that stimulate cell proliferation, collagen synthesis, angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) and tissue regeneration. PRP concentrates these platelets by centrifuging a small sample of the patient's blood to separate the plasma and platelet fraction from the red blood cells; PRF is produced at a slower spin speed and results in a fibrin-rich gel that releases growth factors more slowly and sustainably. At Arsderma the process begins with a blood draw of approximately 20–40 ml from the arm, which is then centrifuged in the treatment room. The resulting PRP or PRF is prepared within minutes and applied while still fresh. For facial skin rejuvenation the physician injects the concentrate in a series of micro-deposits across the face, or delivers it through microneedling channels for a more even distribution. The growth factors stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, improve dermal hydration and promote the turnover of skin cells, with the combined result being improved skin tone and texture, reduced fine lines, tighter pores and an overall healthier, more luminous complexion. The results are gradual and natural — PRP does not add volume like a filler, but regenerates the skin's own quality. For hair loss (alopecia), the same PRP concentrate is injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. The growth factors stimulate dormant or weakened follicles, improve scalp circulation and prolong the active growth (anagen) phase, leading to a reduction in shedding and an increase in hair density over a course of sessions. PRP hair treatment works best for early to moderate androgenetic alopecia and diffuse thinning rather than complete loss where follicles are no longer viable. Because the product is derived from the patient's own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is essentially nil, making PRP and PRF among the safest bio-stimulatory treatments available. The main sensation is the needle injections, mitigated by topical anaesthetic; redness and mild swelling resolve within 24–48 hours. A course of three sessions spaced four weeks apart is recommended for either indication, followed by annual or biannual maintenance. Contraindications include active infection, blood disorders and certain medications — reviewed at the consultation.
