Type
Acne Treatment
Duration
1 hour
A physician-led acne treatment programme combining medical dermatological assessment with evidence-based non-invasive and minimally invasive interventions including salicylic-acid chemical peels, anti-acne laser therapy and mesotherapy with sebum-regulating actives. At Arsderma the programme is individually designed based on the acne type and severity — comedonal, inflammatory or hormonal — and targets both active breakouts and post-acne pigmentation and scarring. From 3,500 Kč per session; a course of four to six sessions is standard.
Acne is a multifactorial chronic inflammatory condition affecting the pilosebaceous unit, and effective treatment addresses more than one factor simultaneously: excess sebum production, follicular hyperkeratinisation (blocked pores), bacterial colonisation by Cutibacterium acnes, and the inflammatory response that drives papules, pustules and cysts. At Arsderma the approach begins with a thorough dermatological consultation to classify the acne — comedonal (blackheads and whiteheads), inflammatory (papules, pustules), nodulo-cystic or hormonally driven — and to assess any contributing factors, current skincare and previous treatments. Based on this assessment the physician designs a programme drawing on one or more treatment modalities. Salicylic-acid chemical peels are a first-line choice for oily and acne-prone skin: salicylic acid is both comedolytic (it dissolves the plugs in blocked pores) and anti-inflammatory, and a series of peels progressively normalise the follicular environment, reduce sebum visibility and improve texture. For inflammatory acne, anti-bacterial laser or intense-pulsed-light therapy targets the bacteria in the follicles and reduces the inflammatory response. Mesotherapy with anti-acne actives — including zinc, vitamins and sebum-regulating peptides — delivers these agents directly into the dermis, addressing the hormonal and inflammatory drivers from within. For post-acne sequelae — hyperpigmentation (red and brown marks) and atrophic scars — the programme includes targeted interventions such as pigment-correcting peels, microneedling and, where appropriate, laser resurfacing. Because the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is often the most visible and persistent aftermath of acne, addressing it is an integral part of the programme and not a separate step. Throughout the programme the physician also provides guidance on skincare products appropriate to acne-prone skin — non-comedogenic, non-irritating formulations that support the barrier without worsening congestion. A course of four to six treatment sessions spaced two to three weeks apart is standard for active acne; acne-scar improvement requires a longer programme. Full contraindications, including the interaction between retinoids and certain peels, are reviewed at the initial medical consultation.
