Micro-botox (mezobotox) is a skin-refinement technique in which highly diluted botulinum toxin is injected intradermally — into the dermis rather than the muscle — across a broad area using multiple micro-injections. Because the toxin does not reach motor neurons at this superficial depth, it does not freeze expression; instead it may reduce sebum production, minimise pore size, improve skin texture, and subtly tighten the skin surface. Applications at this clinic include the eye area, full face, and décolleté. Sessions take approximately 20–30 minutes.
About this treatment
Mezobotox is a refined application of botulinum toxin type A that differs fundamentally from standard anti-wrinkle injections in both dilution and injection depth. Where conventional botox targets the muscle belly (intramuscular at 3–5 mm depth) to block motor activity and relax wrinkles, mezobotox uses a much higher dilution and superficial intradermal placement (1–2 mm) across a grid of micro-injection points distributed evenly over the entire treatment…
At this depth and concentration, the toxin acts on dermal structures — primarily the eccrine sweat glands and the arrector pili muscles attached to hair follicles — rather than on the larger facial muscles. The clinical effects associated with mezobotox include:
- Pore minimisation: Reduced sebaceous gland activity can produce a visible refinement of pore appearance over 2–4 weeks after treatment.
- Skin surface tightening: The intradermal effect of the diluted toxin on superficial muscular bands may produce mild skin tightening without restricting expression.
- Shine control: Reduced sweat and sebum production leads to a mattifying effect prized by clients with oily or combination skin.
- Fine-line smoothing: Particularly around the eyes (eye area 2,000 Kč) where the skin is thin and the arrector pili muscle pattern is dense, mezobotox can soften fine-line texture without freezing the orbital muscles.
Good to know
- Technique
- Intradermal micro-injections — not intramuscular
- Effect
- Pore minimisation, shine control, fine-line softening — no expression freeze
- Zones
- Eyes, full face, décolleté
- Duration
- 3–4 months
Who is this for?
Oily or combination skin, enlarged pores, crepey décolleté, fine texture lines; clients who want skin refinement rather than muscle relaxation
Preparation required
Arrive with clean skin. Same contraindications as standard botulinum toxin — inform the practitioner of all medications. Avoid alcohol 24 hours before.
