Each session is prepared fresh by the pharmacy/nursing team and administered via a peripheral IV cannula. The infusion runs over 30–45 minutes, allowing the ascorbic acid to distribute gradually and minimise the risk of gastrointestinal irritation that can occur with very rapid administration. Patients remain seated in the clinical infusion room throughout.
