The ARCA Neuro Intensive is ARCADA's flagship 14-day intensive neurorehabilitation programme, designed for children and adults from age 2 upward with neurological diagnoses including cerebral palsy (DMO), stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), spina bifida, developmental delay, and meningitis sequelae. The programme combines the internationally recognised TheraSuit Method with ARCADA's proprietary ARCA Therapy in a therapeutic cage, TheraTogs elastic orthotic suits, and a full multidisciplinary team. Each day includes individual kinesiotherapy, soft tissue techniques, speech therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, physical therapies (electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, laser), and specialised device work with MOTOMed, INNOWALK Pro robot, ERGO4BRAIN, and SOUNDSORY headphones. The 14-day intensive block achieves measurable progress that would require months of conventional weekly therapy.
The ARCA Neuro Intensive programme at ARCADA NeuroMedical Center is a compressed, high-intensity neurorehabilitation block designed on the principle that neuroplasticity — the brain's ability to reorganise and form new neural connections — responds most powerfully to massed, high-repetition practice in a dedicated therapeutic environment. The programme runs over 14 consecutive days, with therapy typically delivered 5–6 hours per day in individual and small group sessions. The core methodology combines: **TheraSuit Method:** An internationally developed neurorehabilitation system using the TheraSuit — a soft dynamic orthopaedic suit with bungees and fastenings that align body segments, provide proprioceptive input, and load specific muscle groups. Worn during active exercise, the suit normalises sensory input, reduces pathological movement patterns, and accelerates the acquisition of functional motor skills. ARCADA practitioners are trained and certified in the method. **TheraTogs Elastic Orthotic System:** A wearable biomechanical support system designed for continuous wear during rehabilitation activities, maintaining correct joint alignment and muscle facilitation between active therapy sessions. **ARCA Therapy in the Therapeutic Cage:** ARCADA's proprietary suspension and resistance system, allowing therapists to support, resist, or facilitate movement with precise loading — enabling patients with very limited independent movement to perform active therapeutic exercise. **Multidisciplinary Team Approach:** Each patient receives sessions covering: individual kinesiotherapy (neurophysiological basis), soft tissue and connective tissue techniques, spinal and peripheral joint mobilisation, speech therapy (logopedie), occupational therapy, Snoezelen multisensory room, basal stimulation, craniosacral therapy, and respiratory therapy (RESPIRO). **Specialist Devices:** MOTOMed (motorised cycling for lower limbs), INNOWALK Pro robotic gait trainer, ERGO4BRAIN ergotherapy workstation with SOUNDSORY headphones for auditory-motor integration, SuitTheraWalk. **Physical Therapies II:** Electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, laser, and oxygen therapy (HBOT) can be integrated into the 14-day block based on the individual plan. The programme is suitable for: children and adults with cerebral palsy (all types), post-stroke motor deficits, traumatic brain injury, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA types I-III), spina bifida, hypotonia, global developmental delay, post-meningitis sequelae, and acquired brain conditions. International patients regularly travel to ARCADA from across Europe and beyond, with accommodation support available at the Vila ARCA facility in Hranice for residential programme participants. Contact +420 773 988 027 or [email protected] to begin the assessment process. A pre-programme video consultation is available for international families.
