Lash Lifting

Lash lifting at AR aesthetics curls, lifts, and defines natural lashes using a three-phase silicone-form technique, creating the wide-eyed, mascara-free effect of longer and more upturned lashes without extensions or daily curlers. The procedure takes approximately 45–60 minutes and results last 6–8 weeks as the natural lash growth cycle advances. Lash tinting is included as standard, intensifying the colour of the lifted lashes. An upgraded option adds a Botox lash serum (a keratin and collagen nourishing treatment, not botulinum toxin) for extra conditioning and shine, at a minimal premium. No downtime is involved; the result is immediately visible.

Lash lifting permanently (for the duration of the natural lash growth cycle) reshapes natural lashes into a lifted, curled position without applying extensions, individual fibres, or adhesives of any kind. The procedure works by using a chemical waving solution to soften the disulphide bonds within the keratin structure of the lash, reshaping the lash around a silicone lift form, and then neutralising the new shape in place. The entire process takes three phases: the softening (processing) phase, the shaping and neutralising phase, and the nourishing phase. Silicone forms in different curvature sizes are applied to the upper eyelid, and the natural lashes are brushed up and adhered to the form. The correct form size is chosen based on the client's natural lash length and the degree of lift desired — smaller forms produce a tighter, more dramatic curl; larger forms create a softer, more elongated wave. This customisation prevents the over-curled result that can happen with a one-size approach. At AR aesthetics, lash tinting is included as a standard part of every lifting session. The tint intensifies the natural lash colour (typically to a rich dark brown or black) so that the lifted lashes are visible without mascara. This removes the common daily step of applying mascara to make the lifted lashes visible. The Lash Lifting + Botox option adds a Botox lash treatment — note that this is a cosmetic keratin and collagen conditioning serum applied to the lash surface (not an injection of botulinum toxin), and is named for its 'smoothing' marketing convention in the Czech lash industry. The serum nourishes and conditions the lash shaft during and after the lift, improving flexibility and shine and reducing the brittleness that chemical processing can occasionally cause in fine lashes. The lifted position lasts 6–8 weeks, which corresponds to approximately one natural lash growth cycle. As new lashes grow in from the root, they emerge in their natural (unlifted) angle, and the original lifted lashes gradually grow out. A repeat session at 6–8 weeks maintains the continuous effect. The procedure is safe for most clients. Contraindications include active eye infections, styes, conjunctivitis, severe chemotherapy-related lash loss, and known allergy to the solutions used (which can be patch-tested if suspected). Contact lenses should be removed before the session.
