Microneedling (Dermapen)

Dermapen microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and acne scarring. A serum is driven into the skin during treatment for added benefit, and single sessions or discounted course packages are available. A short course gives the best results, especially for scarring and uneven texture.

Microneedling with the Dermapen device uses a cluster of fine needles oscillating at speed to create thousands of precise micro-channels in the skin. These tiny, controlled injuries trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, prompting fresh collagen and elastin that firm the skin and refine its surface over the weeks that follow. The micro-channels also help active serums applied during the treatment penetrate more effectively. At Klinika Anna Pikura the skin is cleansed and a numbing cream applied before treatment, which takes around half an hour to an hour depending on the area. Expect redness similar to mild sunburn for a day or two, after which the skin looks fresher and, over several weeks, smoother and more even.
