Dr Anna Kępka performing a facial injectable treatment

Type

Laser Therapy (HILT)

Duration

30 min

Laser treatment to close small, visible blood vessels and broken capillaries on the face — common on the nose, cheeks, chin and around the mouth. The laser energy is absorbed by the vessel and seals it so it fades from view, with pricing by individual vessel or by area. A quick, targeted treatment for facial redness and spider veins, with results building as the treated vessels clear.

Vascular lesion treatment uses focused laser light to target small, dilated blood vessels and broken capillaries visible at the skin's surface. The light is preferentially absorbed by the haemoglobin inside the vessel, heating and sealing it so that it is gradually reabsorbed by the body and fades from view. It is commonly used for the fine red vessels and spider veins that appear on the nose, cheeks, chin and around the mouth, as well as more diffuse facial redness. At this clinic the treatment is performed by the doctor and is usually quick — individual vessels or small areas take only a few minutes, while broader facial redness takes longer. You may feel a brief snapping or warm sensation as the laser is applied, and afterwards the treated vessels can look darker or the skin slightly red or swollen for a short time before clearing over the following days to weeks. Depending on the extent of the vessels, more than one session may be advised for the best result, and pricing reflects whether a single vessel or a whole area is treated. Strict sun protection afterwards supports healing and results. The treatment suits adults bothered by visible facial vessels or redness; suitability is confirmed beforehand, larger or unusual areas are priced after assessment, and it is avoided over active infection and in pregnancy.
