Non-surgical eyelid tightening with the Plexr plasma generator at AMEM Zlín — the needle-free, scalpel-free alternative for mild to moderate eyelid skin excess. The device ionises the air just above the skin into a micro-plasma arc that sublimates tiny points of surplus skin without cutting or burning the deeper layers; as the grid of micro-points heals, the eyelid skin contracts and tightens. No stitches, no anaesthetic injections (numbing cream only) and no operating theatre — at 6,800 Kč including a 6-week correction session, it costs half the surgical equivalent. Plexr is also used at the clinic for targeted deep-wrinkle reduction (from 3,000 Kč) and resurfacing plasma peels. Carbon micro-crusts last about a week; the full result develops over 6–8 weeks.
About this treatment
Plasma blepharoplasty ('soft surgery') emerged as the credible middle ground between eyelid creams that do nothing and surgical blepharoplasty that does everything. For the right candidate — mild to moderate upper-lid hooding or fine lower-lid crepiness without large fat pads — it delivers visible tightening with topical numbing and about a week of social downtime.
The technology
The Plexr handpiece generates a controlled micro-plasma arc by ionising atmospheric gas between its tip and the skin. Each brief contact sublimates (vaporises) a sub-millimetre point of the epidermis — the energy dissipates in that instant of sublimation, so underlying and surrounding tissue is not heated the way lasers or radiocautery heat it. Who is this for?
Mild to moderate upper-lid hooding, fine lower-lid crepiness, clients declining surgery, deep perioral or crow's-feet lines (focal Plexr)
Preparation required
No tanning for 4 weeks before — pigmentation risk. Arrive without eye makeup or contact lenses. Do not pick the carbon crusts; cool the swelling the first days and sleep slightly elevated. Strict SPF 50 on the area for 8 weeks after crusts shed. Disclose keloid tendency and any eye conditions.
