IPL Pigmentation & Vein Removal (Anthelia)

Targeted removal of pigment spots and visible veins on the medical IPL Anthelia platform at AMEM Zlín. For pigment: calibrated light pulses are absorbed by melanin in age spots, sun spots and freckled sun damage; the lesions darken, crust microscopically and flake away over one to two weeks, leaving evened skin. For vascular lesions: haemoglobin in fine facial veins, spider veins and diffuse redness absorbs the pulse, coagulating the vessel so the body resorbs it. Pricing scales fairly with the job — from a single small area at 800 Kč to full-face treatment at 2,800 Kč, with larger body zones billed transparently by shot count.

Pigmented spots and broken capillaries are the two most common — and most treatable — visible skin complaints. Both respond to intense pulsed light through the principle of selective photothermolysis: the pulse wavelengths are chosen so the target chromophore absorbs the energy while surrounding skin stays cool. **Pigment removal:** Melanin in solar lentigines (age/sun spots), post-inflammatory marks and mottled sun damage absorbs the IPL pulse and heats sharply; the pigmented cells are disrupted, darken visibly within hours (expected — not a side effect), form a fine micro-crust and exfoliate over 7–14 days. Flat, brown, sun-induced spots respond best — typically 1–3 sessions. Any lesion with irregular features should first be checked dermatologically; the clinic's team includes hospital dermatologists, and suspicious lesions are never treated with light. **Vascular treatment:** Haemoglobin in dilated facial vessels (telangiectasias around the nose and cheeks), spider naevi, post-acne redness and diffuse flushing absorbs the pulse; the vessel wall coagulates and the body clears the remnant over days to weeks. Fine red vessels respond in 1–3 sessions; deeper blue vessels may need more. **Body work by shot count:** For striae, body veins and larger pigmented fields, AMEM bills by IPL shots (60–80 shots 2,800 Kč up to 110–150 shots 3,500 Kč) — a transparent measure of actual treatment delivered rather than vague zone pricing. **Aftercare:** Treated spots look darker for a week — plan social events accordingly.
