Treatment is performed under local anaesthesia and typically requires two stages: implant placement followed by crown fitting after 3 to 6 months of osseointegration.
About this treatment
Dental implants are the gold-standard solution for replacing missing teeth — they replicate the full tooth structure from root to crown and are the only replacement option that prevents bone loss at the extraction site. Ambicare uses the Dentis implant system for placement.
Stage 1 — Implant placement
Under local anaesthesia, the dental surgeon creates a precise channel in the jawbone and places the titanium implant fixture. Titanium is used because it is biocompatible and integrates directly with bone tissue (osseointegration). A healing cap or temporary cover is placed, and the gum is sutured. The placement procedure typically takes 60 to 90 minutes.
