Laser Therapy (HILT)
Duration
30 min
Intense pulsed light (IPL) photo rejuvenation for one treatment zone, targeting pigmentation irregularities, superficial vascular lesions, and overall skin tone using the clinic's DEKA Synchro Repla:Y IPL platform.
IPL photo rejuvenation at ALTOS Klinika is delivered via the DEKA Synchro Repla:Y platform, an Italian-manufactured system that integrates IPL with Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser technologies. The IPL component emits broad-spectrum light in the 500 to 1200 nm range, with cut-off filters selected to target specific chromophores: melanin (for pigmentation) or haemoglobin (for vascular lesions). This selectivity means the energy is absorbed by the target tissue while leaving surrounding skin largely unaffected. For pigmentation, IPL is effective on solar lentigines (age spots), ephelides (freckles), post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and general photoageing — the diffuse blotchiness that accumulates from years of UV exposure. For vascular concerns, it targets dilated capillaries, rosacea-related redness, and small telangiectasias by heating and collapsing the abnormal vessels. In practice, most photoageing involves both pigmentation and vascular changes simultaneously, and IPL addresses both in a single pass. One treatment zone covers an anatomically defined area such as the full face, both hands, the décolleté, or individual facial quadrants. The 30-minute session includes skin preparation, protective eyewear fitting, gel application to ensure even light transmission, and treatment delivery with a chilled handpiece that maintains skin comfort throughout. Treated pigmentation typically darkens and flakes off over five to ten days (the so-called 'coffee grounds' effect), revealing clearer skin beneath. Vascular lesions may appear temporarily darker or purple before clearing. At 4,900 CZK (approximately 195 EUR) per zone, IPL at ALTOS is priced accessibly for a multi-session programme — typically three to five sessions spaced three to four weeks apart for full correction of moderate photoageing. Maintenance sessions once or twice a year extend and preserve results. Sun protection is non-negotiable after IPL: newly treated skin is photosensitive, and unprotected sun exposure risks rebound pigmentation.
