About this treatment
Diode laser epilation works by delivering light energy that is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and converted to heat at the follicle, which may permanently reduce regrowth in treated areas. Because only follicles in the anagen (growth) phase respond, a course of roughly 6–10 sessions at 4–8 week intervals is standard for substantial, lasting reduction.

Treatment is best suited to darker hair on lighter skin; recently tanned skin should be avoided. Patients shave the area 1–2 days before, avoid plucking or waxing in the weeks prior, and use sun protection on treated areas afterwards.
