Because an MRI normally requires a physician request, this Altoa express package bundles a specialist consultation with the scan: a doctor reviews your situation, confirms the appropriate region and protocol, and the coordinator then books and escorts you to the imaging at an accredited partner facility. MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves — no radiation — to image soft tissue, joints, the brain and internal organs in fine detail.

This express MRI package is for clients who want private magnetic resonance imaging but have no referral. MRI produces detailed, multi-plane images of soft tissue, organs, joints, the brain and spinal cord using a strong magnetic field and radio-frequency pulses, with no ionising radiation, making it the preferred tool when fine soft-tissue contrast is needed. Because imaging is a requested investigation rather than a walk-up service, the 4 500 Kč fee includes a specialist consultation: a physician reviews your symptoms and history, decides whether MRI is the right modality, and specifies the region and whether intravenous contrast is needed. Once the indication is set, an Altoa coordinator books the examination at the partner facility with the shortest wait — Nemocnice Hořovice (AKESO), Rehabilitační nemocnice Beroun or Multiscan Pardubice — and escorts you on the day. The scan itself follows the standard MRI process: change into a gown, remove all metal, lie on the motorised table that slides into the bore, and stay still for roughly 30–60 minutes while sequences are acquired; ear protection is provided against the loud scanner noise. The partner radiologist interprets the study and issues a written report, and the consulting specialist can help you interpret the findings and plan next steps. Preparation: bring any prior medical records and imaging; disclose pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal fragments, claustrophobia or pregnancy, which may contraindicate the scan. This pathway is well suited to international and self-paying clients who want both the clinical sign-off and the scan arranged in one coordinated booking.
