Type
Full Body Checkup
Duration
8 hours
Two-day premium screening extending the ALTA Check-up with MRI colonoscopy on day two. Day one covers the full cardiac prevention assessment and whole-body MRI. Day two adds a radiation-free MRI colon scan using water contrast, providing a non-invasive alternative to traditional endoscopic colonoscopy without sedation or bowel preparation.
The Premium tier adds a second day of assessment, centred on MRI colonoscopy — a non-invasive imaging technique that visualises the colon and surrounding structures without requiring endoscope insertion, sedation, or the extensive bowel preparation associated with traditional colonoscopy. Instead, the bowel is gently filled with water via a small rectal tube, creating contrast that allows the MRI to image the colon wall, adjacent lymph nodes, and pelvic organs in detail. Day one follows the complete ALTA Check-up protocol: resting ECG, stress ECG, echocardiography, spirometry, comprehensive blood work, and whole-body MRI on the 3-Tesla Siemens scanner. This combination of cardiac assessment and radiation-free imaging covers the two leading causes of mortality — cardiovascular disease and cancer — in a single visit. The MRI colonoscopy on day two is particularly relevant for individuals who have avoided traditional colonoscopy due to anxiety about the procedure, sedation concerns, or difficulty with bowel preparation. While MRI colonoscopy may not detect very small polyps as reliably as optical colonoscopy, it provides useful screening data for colorectal tumours and is increasingly accepted as a complementary screening modality. The two-day format allows thorough assessment without rushing, with each day requiring approximately four hours. All findings are compiled into a comprehensive report with integrated analysis across all modalities.
