ALTA Klinik Berlin offers targeted CT examinations across all major body regions, enabling precise imaging of specific clinical concerns without requiring a referral from a GP or specialist. The examination is priced per the GOÄ (German physician fee schedule) and includes the radiologist's interpretation, a written report, and the image data. The most commonly requested CT scans at the Berlin site include: **Joints (€280 native):** CT of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, or ankle, providing high-resolution bone and joint imaging. Particularly useful for characterising fractures, bone lesions, or complex joint pathology where MRI is contraindicated. **Spine (€280 native):** CT of the cervical, thoracic, or lumbar spine segments. Useful for bone detail in cases of suspected fracture, spondylosis, or post-operative assessment. MRI is generally preferred for soft tissue and disc pathology, but CT remains the gold standard for bony structures. **Head and Sinuses (€300 native / €490 with contrast):** CT of the brain and skull base, or focused paranasal sinus CT for sinusitis assessment and surgical planning. Brain CT is faster than MRI and preferred in urgent neurological situations. **Chest and Neck (€330 native / €520 with contrast):** CT thorax for lung nodule evaluation, interstitial lung disease, pleural assessment, and mediastinal characterisation. Neck CT for lymph node assessment or soft tissue evaluation. **Abdomen and Pelvis (€360 native / €570 with contrast):** Comprehensive abdominal CT covering the liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, adrenals, bowel, and pelvic organs. Contrast enhancement is typically recommended for lesion characterisation. All scans use low-dose technique where clinically appropriate. A GOÄ-based cost overview is provided at the time of booking confirmation.
